Laura Landefeld Designs began in the early 2000's designing several small projects. Now, after 30 years in the business, Laura prides herself on offering architectural design services that are accessible for all.
Laura has created a Design Process that synthesizes the clients’ wishes and her expertise to create a final product that exceeds expectations. Each homeowner and project is unique and requires bespoke services—from architectural consultations to schematic designs to construction documents.
Concentrating on residential design, Laura specializes in additions and remodels. With a background in Historic Preservation, she has particular affinity for and expertise in historic home renovations. Laura Landefeld graduated from University of Maryland School of Architecture with a concentration in American Architecture, History, and Preservation, fulfilling a childhood dream of studying architecture.
After graduation, Laura worked at a Historic Structures consulting firm evaluating properties for conservation. She worked in conjunction with federal, state, and local historic preservation agencies including The National Register of Historic Places and the Historic American Building Survey. She also worked at a small design-build architectural firm specializing in healthcare design, where she learned the principles of client-centered design.
Laura currently lives in Anne Arundel County with her husband and pets. She enjoys boating on the Chesapeake and hunting for vintage pottery.
